Doug Bania

Doug Bania is a founding principal of Nevium Intellectual Property Solutions. Nevium is an intellectual property consulting firm specializing in the management, valuation and monetization of IP. Doug is a Certified Licensing Professional (CLP) with over a decade of expertise in intellectual property valuation, profit apportionment and expert witness damages testimony.  

Doug testified as the Plaintiffs’ and Counter-Defendants’ Copyright Apportionment Expert testifying in the area of Damages and Apportionment. In the “Blurred Lines” trial.

Doug specializes in analyses for copyright and trademark infringement, publicity rights, social media and Internet infringement, defamation, marketing strategy analyses and royalty rate determinations. Doug also provides valuations and monetization strategies for trademarks, publicity rights, domain names, Internet and social media assets, brand assets and copyrights for financial reporting, bankruptcy and transactional due diligence.

Prior to founding Nevium, Doug managed 100s of projects related to brands, intellectual property and the related intangible assets. He has assisted clients in intellectual property matters related to acquisitions, litigation, bankruptcy, tax, estate, marital disputes, and licensing.  

Entertainment experience includes producing two award winning short films entitled: Boundaries and Passing Through. Boundaries won Best Short at Kudzu Film Festival and Method Fest, the Bronze Award at the New York Expo, and the Grand Jury Prize at the Slamdance Film Festival.
