Chris Summers is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of South Carolina. He is an expert in consumer behavior and decision-making, using field and lab experiments to uncover insights about human behavior that are relevant to firms--particularly in the contexts of advertising, promotional strategy, and new technology.
Dr. Summers' research is published in the Journal of Consumer Research and his work has appeared in numerous national and international media outlets, including Harvard Business Review, The Atlantic, and Gizmodo.
He believes that firms and academics should more often work together to identify and solve interesting business challenges and he welcomes collaboration requests.
