Dubbed “The Busiest Man on the Internet” by Forbes Magazine, Tim Hwang is a writer, lawyer, and researcher focusing on the social impact of technology. Most recently, he co-authored “The Container Guide”, a visual field guide to identifying shipping containers in the wild and the integrated logistics companies that operate them. He serves as Provost of the Awesome Foundation for the Arts and Sciences, a global decentralized network of giving circles dedicated to supporting the interests of awesome in the universe. In the past, he has worked on an ethnography of the giant twine balls of the Midwest, and is at work on a new project about the global selfie stick supply chain. Currently, he serves on the public policy team at Google. In the past, he has been a part of the Berkman Center for Internet and Society, Institute for the Future, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, and co-founded ROFLCon, a conference about web culture and funny cats on the Internet.
