Norie Guthrie is an archivist and special collections librarian at the Woodson Research Center, Rice University. Her current project is digitizing and creating descriptive metadata for audio reels from the university's radio station.

In conjunction with Scott Carlson, she runs the preservation DIY website indiepreserves.info. The site dispenses archiving advice to independent record labels and bands.
