Adam Haar Horowitz
Adam works in Neuroscience and the Arts at MIT. As a Neuroscience RA at the McGovern Institute for Brain Research, he studies Mindfulness and Metacognition. As a leader of MIT Hacking Arts, he creates tech/art STEAM projects that aim to expand defined disciplinary boundaries, currently working between Boston's Museum of Fine Arts and the MIT Media Lab.
In the past he's worked variously in performance art with the Marina Abramovic Institute, robotics and virtual reality with FLAGcx, smart cities and experience design in city government: a big believer in the power of cooperation across communities and disciplines and the potential for truly interdisciplinary tools to advance inquiry and action.
Focused on wonder and wellness broadly construed: informed by brain science, inspired by art, enacted through design and tech.
