Jason Janego
As Co-Founder and Co-President of RADiUS, the boutique film label of The Weinstein Company, Jason Janego was responsible for creating a new distribution paradigm for such groundbreaking films as SNOWPIERCER, IT FOLLOWS and BACHELORETTE, and back-to-back Oscar winning documentaries 20 FEET FROM STARDOM and CITIZENFOUR. Prior to co-founding RADiUS, Janego had his own consultancy and legal practice focusing on the development of innovative strategies for the production, financing, sales, acquisition and distribution of content in all areas of the entertainment business. Previously, he was the Chief Operating Officer at Big Beach Films, a New York-based production and finance company whose credits include AWAY WE GO, SUNSHINE CLEANING, and LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE. Before joining Big Beach, Mr. Janego was Head of Business & Legal Affairs for Magnolia Pictures, Magnolia Home Entertainment, and Landmark Theatres, all of which are subsidiaries of the vertically integrated media company 2929 Entertainment. Janego has also worked at Miramax Films and with the film sales and packaging company Cinetic Media. Earlier in his career, he was employed as an attorney in the legal department of the NBC television network and with the music label Artemis Records. Janego is a graduate of Bucknell University and the University of Michigan Law School, and serves on the Film Committee at the Museum of Modern Art.
