Casey Oppenheim
Casey Oppenheim is the founder and CEO of Disconnect, a digital privacy company that creates software and integration technology actively used by over 50 million people. Disconnect improves Internet performance and privacy by empowering users to understand and control unwanted tracking and access to their online activity. Disconnect has won several awards including the 2015 Innovation Award for Privacy and Security at the South by Southwest Conference and was recently named best privacy software by the New York Times. Casey frequently presents at conferences, universities and is often quoted by international media on matters of consumer privacy and digital advertising.
Prior to Disconnect Casey helped establish a prominent online environmental organization called the Organic Consumers Association and found an innovative law firm focused on representing technology companies and individuals with just causes. Casey lives in San Francisco with his wife and children.
