Tom Taylor

Tom originally moved from the United Kingdom to the United States to study aerospace engineering, but in grad school he discovered a passion for writing instead. He's also a sports fan and an avid amateur athlete—his current obsessions are rowing and cycling. So after getting his Ph.D. in summer 2013, he switched to sports journalism. Now he works as Sports Illustrated's de-facto science expert, including writing Sports Illustrated Kids' The Professor science Q&A column. He is interested in sports science and technology, adventure and endurance sports, and is always on the lookout for unusual stories.
