Shawn Walsh

As Image Engine's Visual Effects Executive Producer and General Manager, Shawn’s expertise lies in the crucial areas of creative production, maintaining Image Engine’s excellent client relations, and producing winning bids. Originating as a 3D character animator in 1996, Shawn has many years of experience in the visual effects and animation industry, including several years abroad where he honed his skills as a Senior Lighting Technical Director and Compositor at Rhythm and Hues, MPC and ESC Entertainment.

He joined Image Engine in 2005 and has since built up an impressive roster of credits including The Incredible Hulk, District 9, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Elysium, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Chappie and more. Shawn plays an instrumental role in leading new business opportunities in feature film at Image Engine, developing new production methodologies and managing global marketing.

Based in Vancouver BC, Image Engine is a world-class visual effects company, led by a team of creative and passionate individuals who are committed to furthering the art of visual storytelling. Well known for its Academy Award-nominated work on Neill Blomkamp’s District 9, Image Engine has gone on to create numerous incredible creatures, epic environments and extraordinary digital effects for a broad range of feature films, including Jurassic World, Independence Day: Resurgence, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, and Logan. In July of 2015 Image Engine merged with Cinesite, an industry leader in visual effects and feature animation services.
