Sophia Yang

Sophia's passion for understanding how an ecosystem of products provides value to society and her goal of bringing technology closer to people has led her to immerse herself in user experience design. After working at design consultancies such as Moment Design and THE MEME, she joined Akamai Technologies in the Bay Area where she engaged in several projects redesigning their customer control portal. She has also worked on new product designs for the Salesforce Marketing Cloud as a consultant at a digital product design firm called DesignMap. Currently, she is part of the first cohort of MIT's new Integrated Design and Management program where she is crossing traditional academic boundaries and developing a holistic view on how design, engineering and business blend in with each other in the product design and development process. Her current projects investigate interaction and control for immersive Mixed Reality systems.
