Harvard Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy

With his work featured in Fast Company and Financial Times, Jeff brings executive experience as the first Chief Marketing Officer for the US Census Bureau. The US Census Bureau counts what matters for the United States, and is the nation's authoritative source on demographic and economic data. The US Census Bureau helps communities, governments, businesses, and non-profits be more effective through data insights. For example, the bureau creates over 130 data products that inform $400B+ in annual spending on the federal, state, and local level.

In 2014, Jeff left the private sector after being selected as a White House Presidential Innovation Fellow, and since that time has been helping to modernize government programs through Agile and open-source initiatives. He is passionate about building great company culture in organizations both large and small, and is a guest lecturer at George Washington University. Jeff has a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Kansas State, and a M.S. in Technology Commercialization from UT Austin - McCombs School of Business.
