Michael Russel

Dr. Michael Russel is currently the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Administration at Texas Christian University. In this role, he supervises the University Union, student activities and government, fraternities and sororities, the ID Center, the Horned Frog Yearbook and student affairs technology. He also manages the division’s budget and HR functions. Prior this to position, Dr. Russel served as Associate Dean of Campus Life assisting students experiencing difficulties and crises. While at TCU, Mike earned an MBA and a Doctorate in Education.

Dr. Russel grew up in Lakewood, Colorado graduating from Alameda Senior High and Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in psychology. After receiving a master’s degree in education from the University of Vermont, he worked at The Ohio State University for ten years in both the Housing department and as an ombudsperson.
