Mike McKenna is an award winning creative director, with a wide range of experience in a number of categories and mediums. Before starting his own strategic communications firm in 2008, McKenna was President, CEO and Chief Creative Officer of Marsteller, the corporate storytelling arm of global public relations firm Burson-Marsteller.
McKenna followed a passion for higher education and joined Middlebury College in Vermont as its first Vice President of Communications where he devised a marketing campaign for a successful half billion dollar capital campaign.
After four years in this post, Middlebury became the first client at McKenna & Partners. Since then other consulting assignments have included creating Coca-Cola Journey, named corporate website of the year in 2013. He also works with Brown-Forman, Hitachi, HealthSmart and several colleges and independent schools.
McKenna holds a BA from Wesleyan and a MS in Journalism from Boston University where he was an Abbott Scholar.
