Alethea Lange
Ali Lange is a Senior Policy Analyst on the Privacy & Data team at the Center for Democracy & Technology in Washington DC. Her work focuses on empowering users to control their digital presence and to ensure that individuals realize the value of their data. Ali works on developing standards for fairness and transparency in algorithms, protecting digital assets, and generally addressing technology issues at the intersection of civil rights and big data. Before joining CDT, Ali was an independent technology policy researcher and writer who wrote extensively on the biggest technology topics of the day. She has an M.A. in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins. She has B.A. degrees in Political Science and English from the University of Chicago.
