Carole Moss and her husband Ty Moss are both Patient Safety activists representing only the public, speaking up for patients rights for safe healthcare in their home state of California and across the nation.

In 2006 they were unaware of the big problem and epidemic of hospital acquired infections that nearly 2 million people contract each year.

It was not until their 15 year old son Nile Calvin Moss visited the top Children's hospital in Orange County California for an MRI,
contracted the antibiotic resistant infection called MRSA from unclean surfaces and poor hygiene and died just days after this visit did they learn that hospitals and experts have known how to prevent the spread of these deadly infections for decades, but hospitals & healthcare administration have option to follow the CDC guidelines or not.

This began the ongoing 10 year journey for the Moss's as they vowed to help make healthcare safer for the public by engaging at CU Safe Patient Project, policy makers, healthcare, hi-tech providers and most importantly the public in life-saving awareness, education & action through tools that deliver transparency & infection prevention information for all.

You may find Carole & Ty speaking at "A Night For Nile's" jazz concert that they produce & organized in your community, at a fairground information booth, at the Capital in front of Congress, testifying on behalf of the public, at a California Health Committee hearing or at The Whitehouse sharing Nile's story with federal agencies to emphasize the urgent need to address the global threat of antibiotic resistance.

Everyday they honor Nile to do what ever they can to help save lives through awareness and action. Nile's Project MRSA is their self-funded 501c3 established to end preventable harm of hospital & healthcare acquired infections like MRSA, VRE, C.diff, CRE, drive solutions like rapid diagnostics, universal screening and mandate environmental cleaning & monitoring.
