Lauren Dunn is a Producer for the Medical Unit at NBC News. Her stories span human interest, medical research, news from medical meetings, and breakthrough technology to improve health. Lauren’s pieces air on Nightly News with Lester Holt and the Today Show.

Prior to joining NBC News, she was Senior Producer for NBC4 in Washington, DC for 9 years. Her work included producing medical news and stories for the station’s main anchors, as well as special projects and events. While in Washington, Lauren covered landmark events in the region, including presidential elections, inaugurations and conventions, as well as high-profile interviews with newsmakers and lawmakers like President Barack Obama.

She holds a master’s degree in print journalism from Northwestern University, as well as a BA in English from Binghamton University in New York. Lauren is also a certified yoga instructor and is currently teaching her stressed-out colleagues at 30 Rock when she’s not traveling around the country reporting on medical stories.
