Selma Hepp joined Pacific Union in early 2016 as Chief Economist and Vice President of Business Intelligence. In this newly created executive role, Selma analyzes real estate market and economic conditions in order to help our real estate professionals thoroughly understand client demographics and empirical market dynamics on a hyperlocal basis. This will give Pacific Union real estate professionals definitive buyer profiles and specific marketing tactics that will enable them to better serve the company's clientele. Prior to joining Pacific Union, Selma was Chief Economist at Trulia. Her career includes positions as senior economist for the California Association of Realtors and economist and manager of public policy and homeownership at the National Association of Realtors. She has also worked as a research associate at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the National Center for Smart Growth Research and Education. Selma earned her Master of Arts in Economics from the State University of New York (SUNY), Buffalo and a Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Planning and Design from the University of Maryland.
