"Mark Hatch is the former CEO and co-founder of TechShop. His book best-selling book, ""The Maker Movement Manifesto,"" was published by McGraw-Hill in September of 2013 and has become the leading resource for organizations and individuals who want to understand and engage the maker movement. He is an entrepreneur, author, consultant, investor and a former Green Beret. He has held executive positions focused on innovation, disruptive technology and entrepreneurship/intrapreneurship in various industry sectors including packaged goods, manufacturing, retail and healthcare.

He has spoken at the White House, the Clinton Global Initiative, the Council on Foreign Relations, Singularity U, TEDx, and many others; he has spoken to corporate groups from GE, Ford, P&G, ExxonMobil, Kraft, and many other US and Global Fortune 500 firms. He has presented at universities like UC Berkeley, Vanderbilt and Harvard. He has spoken in North America, Europe, the Middle-East and Asia.

Mark has appeared on ABC, CBS, NBC, Bloomberg, CNN and Fox among others. He has also been quoted in numerous prominent magazines and newspapers like Bloomberg Business, FastCompany, Inc, Forbes, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The LA Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, and he has published a number of articles including an opinion piece on the Jobs Act for the Washington Post.

He holds an M.B.A. from the Drucker Center at the Claremont Graduate University, a B.A. in Economics from the University of California at Irvine, is adjunct faculty at Singularity University and on the Industry Advisory Board at The Claremont Graduate University.
