"Andrea Seabrook is an award-winning journalist with more than fifteen years focusing on government and politics. Public radio listeners are familiar with her work as NPR’s long-time Congressional Correspondent from the US Capitol, DC Bureau Chief of Marketplace with Kai Ryssdal, and as a host of top shows, including All Things Considered, Weekend Edition, The Diane Rehm Show and Talk of the Nation. Seabrook’s reporting won her a Joan S. Barone award for coverage of the US Capitol. She has been featured on This American Life, RadioLab, 99% Invisible, the BBC, CNN, PBS, and many others.

Seabrook was among the first journalists to leave public radio for the entrepreneurial world. In 2012, she founded DecodeDC, a site and podcast dedicated to eschewing “red vs. blue” news coverage, instead deepening the public’s understanding of, and engagement with, the government. In 2013, the White House named Seabrook a “Champion of Change” in recognition of her work. DecodeDC was later acquired by the E.W. Scripps Corporation."
