Brett started working in record labels just as the internet was about to decimate their existing business model. Some might say it was the worst possible time, he disagrees. It taught him valuable lessons about the nature of disruption, pushed him to keep diversifying, and to think about the music industry holistically from an early stage.
Since then he has worked in just about every area of the music business, including record labels, live music, artist management, publishing and brand partnerships. Along the way he also moved into the world of brand marketing, where he managed global brands for companies like Virgin.
He has always been fascinated by the ever changing nature of creativity versus commerce, which is what has drove him towards the development of Listen. A creative company helping artists and brands to grow through credible and culturally relevant applications of music and sound.
