Alicia Trost

I lead strategic communications, media relations, policy communications, crisis communications and social media at the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART)- the fifth largest heavy rail rapid transit system in the United States. I create and pitch compelling and engaging content to tell our story and deliver key messages. I serve as the Chief Spokesperson while also heading up our Subject Matter Expert program.

Prior to joining BART, I served as Communications Director and Press Secretary for California Senate President Pro Tempore Darrell Steinberg. I also served as Press Secretary for Senate President Pro Tempore Don Perata. These positions involved not just political communications but policy development and interpretation.

Before that I was a news program producer for KTVU's "Mornings on Two." I use my television news experience to help create awesome videos that get picked up by the media and shared on social.
