Mara leads the marketing and social media efforts for e.l.f. Cosmetics. In this role, she is responsible for building consumer awareness and understanding of e.l.f.’s unique positioning in the market. By fostering a highly engaged and vocal community of e.l.f. advocates, the brand has seen tremendous growth through strong word of mouth. Mara joined e.l.f. in 2014 from the Clorox Company, where she spent over 10 years in a variety of marketing roles with expanding scope and responsibility including Associate Marketing Director overseeing global marketing, innovation, and communications integration for the Glad brand. While Marketing Manager on the flagship Clorox Bleach brand, she led development of the “Bleach it Away” campaign that repositioned bleach for younger consumers and reached them in unexpected yet relevant places. She began her career as an investment banker in Chicago with Robert W. Baird & Co. but much prefers beauty to banking.
