Professor
Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL)

Stéphanie Lacour holds the Bertarelli Foundation Chair in Neuroprosthetic Technology at the School of Engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL). As the Head of The Laboratory for Soft Bioelectronics Interfaces (LSBI), she explores how to shape traditionally rigid electronic circuits into comfortable, skin-like formats. Her research focuses on the materials, technology and integration of soft bioelectronic interfaces, including artificial skin and ultra-compliant neural electrodes for in vitro platforms as well as in vivo implants. She received her PhD in Electrical Engineering from INSA in Lyon, France, and completed her postdoctoral research at Princeton University (USA) and the University of Cambridge (UK).
