Anna Codrea-Rado
I'm a journalist with nine years experience focusing on electronic music, youth culture and mental health. I have written and edited stories on stopping drug-related deaths at music festivals; juvenile sex offenders; New York’s underground clubbing scene; how to use social media to prevent suicide; youth subcultures; nightclub corruption investigations, and more.
I currently work at Vice in New York where I’m the news editor of Thump, the electronic music and culture channel. I previously worked at the Guardian, both in the US and my hometown of London, for three years.
I'm a graduate of Durham University and Columbia Journalism School, I was also the first Tow Center digital media fellow. In 2015 I was an International Reporting Project fellow to Nepal. Our trip was cut short by the earthquake, which I covered on the ground for the Guardian and Observer.
