A Vermont native, Nick Weiss currently serves as Senior Vice President of Creative Advertising at Sony Pictures Entertainment. As an executive at Sony, Weiss has spear-headed the advertising campaigns for Spectre, The Angry Birds Movie, Passengers and is currently overseeing the advertising materials for the new Jumanji adventure, starring Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart and Jack Black. Prior to Sony, Weiss was the Creative Director at Vibe Creative LA, working across every genre in contributing to the success of the many different theatrical campaigns including TED, Safe House, Django: Unchained, Maleficent and 22 Jump Street. Weiss got his start in the industry as an editor at Create Advertising Group, where he helped launch various successful marketing campaigns including: District 9, Star Trek, Iron Man 2 and Michael Jackson’s: This Is It. He holds a degree in Film Marketing from Emerson College in Boston, MA.
