Harmke Heezen

Harmke Heezen is a freelance director, writer and creative producer, based in Berlin.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Film Studies from Utrecht University. She directed and produced for the Arts and Culture department of the Dutch national public broadcaster AVRO, before moving to Berlin in 2011.

As an independent filmmaker she has made short films and co-created the innovative transmedia project Baltic Warriors with production company Kinomaton Berlin. Currently, she works on a series of interactive projects as creative collaborator with Mike Robbins of Helios Design Labs, and develops a web series for the broadcasters Arte Creative & MDR/Arte.
