Ralph Covert
RALPH COVERT is a Grammy nominated songwriter, author, playwright festival presenter and lead singer of children's music group Ralph's World as well as the Chicago based indie-rock band The Bad Examples. He manages the Hohner Little Pilgrims stage for Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival in Tennessee. Ralph was nominated for his Best Musical Album For Children at the 48th Grammy Awards. He’s recorded albums for Disney and several on his own label, including his latest, "Ralph’s World Rocks and Reads." The New York Times remarked, “It is possible that Mr. Covert will turn out to be (the) genre's Elvis Presley, or at the very least its Elvis Costello.” Ralph co-wrote the songs and book for the musical plays “Sawdust And Spangles” and “Streeterville,” both earning Joseph Jefferson Awards for Best New Work. Ralph is also a record producer with credits including Framing Caroline by Los Angeles based singer-songwriter Kat Parsons.
