Emilie Friedlander is the Editor-in-Chief of THUMP, VICE's electronic and dance music channel. Before joining THUMP in 2015, Emilie worked as a Senior Editor and then Deputy Features editor at The FADER, where she wrote cover stories on artists like Grimes and FKA Twigs. Emilie is also the founder and editorial director of AdHoc, an events collective and publication focused on underground and emerging artists. She cut her teeth as an editor of Pitchfork's defunct sister site Altered Zones, while earning an MA in journalism at NYU, with a focus on Cultural Reporting and Criticism.
