Sonja Rasula

Founder
Unique Markets

Driven by the idea that creativity can change the world and by the Martin Luther King Jr. quote, "Life's most persistent and urgent question is What are you doing for others?," Sonja has dedicated herself to creating businesses that foster entrepreneurship, spread creative thinking, and grow community. She was recently named '1 of 30 Women Entrepreneurs Changing the World' by fashion mogul Eileen Fisher, and Los Angeles Magazine honored her as one of LA's Top 10 Most Inspiring Women. Sonja is best known for UNIQUE MARKETS, the country's largest curated pop-up marketplaces that feature 350+ independent designers and brands. Fueled by her passion for helping people grow and become more successful, Sonja launched CAMP in 2013, a revolutionary new take on the standard business conference that takes place in the mountains. That same year Sonja created a permanent place for entrepreneurs and creative thinkers called THE UNIQUE SPACE - an 18,000 sq ft building in downtown LA's Arts District that houses a communal working space, 14 private offices and an event space.

As a workshop leader and motivational speaker, Sonja has worked with a variety of organizations including Redbull, Nike, Square, Disney Imagineers group and West Elm. As a creative consultant she helps businesses with experiential marketing, branding and art direction. Sonja also sits on the Board of the literary education non-profit 826LA.
