Noa Raviv
Noa Raviv is a fashion designer, working in the intersection of fashion art and technology. She is originally from Tel Aviv, currently based in NYC.
For her first collection entitled Hard Copy, Noa created garments that were inspired by computer glitches and digital errors. That collection got attention from websites and magazines such as Vogue Japan, Vogue, Marie Claire, BBC, Wired and many more and was presented in exhibitions around the world including the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and the Manus x Machina at Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
In 2016 Noa was chosen to be included in the prestigious list of Forbes 30under30 and was also selected by Vogue as one of the best 16 young designers of 2016.
Noa Raviv is fascinated by the tension between harmony and chaos, tradition and innovation, constantly seeking for the perfect balance. Her collections are influenced by the dichotomy of the handmade and machine made and often combine traditional handcraft such as sewing, pleating and beading with innovative technologies such as 3D printing, laser cutting and digital fabric printing.
In her work Noa wishes to turn the imperfect, faulty and the random into poetical pieces.
