Loni Peristere
Loni Peristere is an award-winning television director and co-founder of Zoic Studios. His VFX shot design for the series “Firefly” and “Battlestar Galactica” has creatively inspired the look of modern visual effects cinematography. He was co-executive producer and director on the hit Cinemax series “Banshee,” and is a director for the FX series “American Horror Story,” Cinemax’s horror series “Outcast” and the upcoming CBS series “Code Black.” He is also a commercial director, having helmed numerous projects for top brands such as PlayStation, Jeep, ESPN, Budweiser and Adidas. His directorial efforts have earned him a London Film Festival Award, a Golden Pencil and several Clios. After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Literature in 1995, Peristere went on to collaborate with mentor Joss Whedon as VFX supervisor and second unit director on “Buffy,” “Angel,” “Firefly,” and the film Serenity. His work on “Firefly” earned him an Emmy for Special Visual Effects in a Television Series.
