Indre Viskontas
I'm a cognitive neuroscientist and opera singer, pioneering the application of neuroscience to musical training at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. I've published more than 40 articles and book chapters on memory and creativity and perform regularly in both operas and chamber music concerts. As a science communicator, I co-hosted the docuseries Miracle Detectives on the Oprah Winfrey Network and my science podcast, Inquiring Minds, boasts more than 5 million downloads. I've given talks at companies as diverse as the Dallas Symphony, Ogilvy, Genentech and Child's Play. You can find my work at The Great Courses too, where my course 12 Essential Scientific Concepts was released in 2014 and my next course, Brain Myths Exploded, will be available in May of 2017.
