Douglas Weber
Dr. Doug Weber joined DARPA as a Program Manager in 2013. His research interests are in the field of neural engineering, specifically: neural interface systems and how to apply these technologies to acquiring and decoding neural signals for controlling assistive and prosthetic devices; and neural stimulation technologies for restoring or retraining sensory, motor and autonomic functions. Dr. Weber came to DARPA from the University of Pittsburgh, where he was an Associate Professor in the Department of Bioengineering and the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He also served the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) as a Research Biomedical Engineer in the VA Pittsburgh Health System. Dr. Weber is a member of the Society for Neuroscience and a senior member of the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
