James Bourie

Jim brings over 15 years of leadership expertise to Nisos Group. After earning his commission in the U.S. Army from the Virginia Military Institute, Jim served as an officer in the renowned 82nd Airborne Division, where he led a Parachute Infantry platoon in combat operations in Afghanistan and Iraq. Building on this experience, and after a grueling selection regimen, Jim earned the coveted Green Beret.

As a commander of a Special Forces team, he led classified unconventional, counter-terrorism, and counter-criminal missions in and around Afghanistan where he earned the Bronze Star for Valor, Purple Heart, and Combat Infantryman Badge.

Following a decade of service, Jim transitioned his skills to develop a new approach to thwart cyber risks against private industry, and created Nisos Group. Drawing on vast experience and a deep network of former colleagues, Jim curated a team of the military’s & intelligence agencies’ most accomplished and decorated cyber warriors.
