JJ Bouchard

J.J. Bouchard, lives in Ann Arbor Michigan with his wife and daughter. He has had type 1 diabetes for 28 years. He has worked with children of varying physical and cognitive abilities for over 20 years in numerous roles including camp councilor, coach, teacher, certified child life specialist, certified therapeutic recreation specialist, and digital media manager. He has worked at The Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit and C.S. Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor. He is the host of a podcast called Helping: Conversations with Child Life Specialist and Other Helper Professions and he writes and draws a web comic about children in the hospital called Getting Better.
