Char Hu PhD
Char completed his doctoral thesis at Baylor College of Medicine where he performed basic research on protein folding that had implications for the underlying mechanisms of diseases such as Alzheimer's. After his grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, he transitioned into founding and operating evidence-based design Alzheimer's and dementia communities. He is currently the CEO of The Helper Bees, a start-up that is using technology to enhance the matching of great helpers with seniors who need services within their home. He has devoted his free-time to working with local nonprofits focused on issues related to aging, and serving on the board of directors at AustinUP, Alzheimer's Texas and Family Eldercare.
