Michelle Robinson
With a telecom and government relations career spanning 20 years, Michelle A. Robinson continues to leave her footprint as a technology enthusiast, a policy strategist, and regulatory expert with a passion for leveraging technology to deliver powerful answers to societal challenges. Robinson's Verizon career began in 1998 and since then she's taken on roles and increasing responsibility for state and local regulatory advocacy, political strategy, media relations, reputation management and philanthropy, and public policy. Prior to her Verizon career, Robinson held various government relations roles with AT&T and USWest (now CenturyLink). Currently, Robinson is vice president for state government affairs responsible for eleven southern states including: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. In this role, Robinson is demonstrating leadership experience in governmental and regulatory practices combined with media and public relations, and is often called upon to speak at various conferences and events around the region. Robinson was listed by Atlanta Woman Magazine as one of the top 25 women to watch in 2008, and one of Atlanta Tribune Magazine's super women. She currently serves on the executive committee of Florida TaxWatch, and board of directors of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. Michelle A. Robinson holds Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California Los Angeles and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Southern California. She has also completed coursework at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Robinson lives in the metro Atlanta area with her husband and two children.
