Jonathan Jackson leads the artistic direction of Milwaukee Film, manages the engagement of the organization's board of directors, oversees the staff directors and acts as chief development officer for the organization. He previously served as the artistic director for the Milwaukee International Film Festival, directing film programming there from its inception to 2007. Jackson has also previously worked as a teacher for the UWM Film Department, served on the Board of the Milwaukee Artist Resource Network, worked as a freelance writer for the Shepherd Express, as curator of film programs for the Milwaukee Art Museum and as program manager of the UWM Union Theatre. Originally hailing from Cleveland, Jackson is proud to call Milwaukee his home and contribute to its cultural landscape while fostering local filmmaking.
