Lucie Newcomb

Hello! I'm excited to be at SXSW for the first time. I have the honor of being recognized as a pioneer and champion of Global Business via my company, NewComm Global's, work with international companies, from IT giants to seed startups to non-profit organizations for more than 20 years. We specialize in Emerging Markets and Tech and Services clients. I am also a seasoned instructional designer and trainer, with engagements including the U.S. State Department 's U.S. Speakers Program, in which I have trained Women and Youth Entrepreneurs in Southeast Asia.

A lifelong learner, I have been a mentor and coach to Women in Technology for 16 years, from co-founding the GraceNet Mentoring Partnership Program to serving as a mentor and advocate for the U.S. State Department 's TechWomen program, our SXSW panel's focus. I also serve as a mentor/advisor for a number of other organizations including Impact Hub Harare and Brand2Global. A graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and St. Mary's College of California, I also hold certifications in the Leadership Practices Inventory and the Hall Tonna (Values) Inventory. I was an ex-pat executive and entrepreneur in South Africa for 5 years and I am fluent in French.
