Zachery Jiwa
As the CEO and Co-Founder of MI7, Zac is leading the charge toward disruptive technologies designed to upend the state of healthcare interoperability by commoditizing an age-old industry problem. In addition to taking on robust and meaningful challenges, Zac is also a prolific public speaker and respected thought leader in the healthcare technology community. Prior to founding MI7, Zac had the prestigious honor of being named to the first class of Innovation Fellows at the US Department of Health and Human Services where he focused on intractable challenges with the technical implementation of Obamacare. He continues to serve on the HHS Innovation Council, as well as an advisor to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Zac has served the health IT community his entire career, including in leadership roles for hardware and software vendors and for public and private sector provider and payer organizations. Previous posts include the Chief Technology Officer and Health IT Coordinator for the Department of Health in Louisiana, Business Development Manager for Connected Health at Microsoft’s Health Solutions Group, Healthcare Product Manager for Motion Computing’s C5 Mobile Clinical Assistant Tablet PC, and Chief Information Officer at Children’s Hospital of Austin.
