Rose Tucker is an award-winning documentary producer who loves telling personal stories from around the world. Her films have taken her everywhere from a ruined village in rural Argentina, to the Za’atari refugee camp on the border of Syria and Jordan.
Rose works alongside her partner, director Matthew Salleh. Their short documentary 'Pablo’s Villa' played at major festivals worldwide, and won the 2013 ATOM Award for Best Australian Short Documentary. 'Central Texas Barbecue', featuring the passionate pitmasters of small town Texas, was awarded best short film at the New York Food Film Festival.
'Barbecue' is Rose and Matthew’s first feature documentary. The duo travelled the world as a two person crew, filming in twelve countries, to explore the way barbecue brings people together the world over. The film will be having its world premiere at SXSW in March 2017.
