Steve Martin

Partner/EVP of Worldwide Music
APA

Martin joined APA in 2013 from The Agency Group, where he previously served as president of North American operations and was named “Agent of the Year” by Pollstar magazine in 2008. A maverick in the industry, with a distinguished career as a leader in the music business, Martin has played an integral role in countless success stories while expanding APA's concerts division on a global scale and continuing to lead several sold out concert tours this year alone for Brian Wilson (Pet Sounds 50th Anniversary World Tour), David Gilmour, and Dolly Parton, among many others. Martin started in music in 1979 as a concert promoter for Muddy Waters, Tom Waits, Dire Straits, Weather Report and Miles Davis in New York, Boston and D.C. After becoming one of William Morris' most successful booking agents in the 90s, Martin joined The Agency Group to spearhead the U.K.-based talent firm's New York office, where he was instrumental in helping build the company in the United States.
