Jessica Richman is the co-founder and CEO of uBiome, a startup that uses big data and citizen science to understand the human microbiome.

Jessica attended Stanford University, where she studied economics and computer science, and Oxford University, where she studied as a Clarendon Scholar, also receiving a Fulbright Scholarship for further study. Along the way, she worked for Google, McKinsey, Lehman Brothers, the Grameen Bank, and top-tier Silicon Valley venture firms as well as other entrepreneurial projects and adventures. Her work has been published in The New York Times and other national publications.

Her work has been featured in Wired, MIT Technology Review, Scientific American, NPR, FoxNews, ABC News, and dozens of other media outlets. She has spoken at TEDMED, TEDxBrussels, Partnering for Cures, the American Society for Microbiology, the Future of Genomic Medicine, HealthFoo, SciFoo, Oxford University, the University of California San Francisco, and many other conferences and venues.
