Emily Decker
Emily Jones Decker has over seven years of experience in women’s health, global and domestic public health, and international development. She began her career by leading women’s empowerment and gender equity-focused programming at World Wildlife Fund, Inc., in Washington, D.C. There, she supported a USAID-funded public-private partnership to improve women’s access to voluntary family planning and basic health services in remote areas of the Congo, Kenya, and Nepal. In 2014, Emily left the NGO world to become a Fellow and, subsequently, a Health Scientist with the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services/Office of Population Affairs (OPA). She works to administer the Title X program – the only federal grant program dedicated to providing women and men with comprehensive family planning and related preventive health services. Emily holds a Master of Public Health in epidemiology and biostatistics from the George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in history from UT Austin.
