Roxanne Benjamin
Roxanne Benjamin is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker well-known in the genre film world for producing the V/H/S franchise, after which she segued into directing and writing on the anthologies SOUTHBOUND and the all-female-written and -directed horror film "XX" for Magnolia Pictures.
Benjamin was named one of Rolling Stone's "13 Horror Filmmakers You Need to Know" and has been lauded as a filmmaker to watch in publications such as Indiewire, MovieMaker, SPIN, Filmmaker Magazine, and Tribeca Film. She’s currently in post-production on her thriller feature, ‘BODY AT BRIGHTON ROCK’, which she wrote, produced, and directed this past December on the side of a mountain in freezing temperatures. She recalls the experience as “A really stupid thing to do, but 10/10, would do again”. Magnolia Pictures acquired worldwide rights to the film prior to production, and plans on a 2018 release.
Benjamin is currently in development on a number of feature and television projects in the thriller, sci-fi, and horror genres, mostly about girls, ghosts, and ghost girls.
