Holly Gibson
Holly is passionate about promoting disability rights and the inclusion of people affected by disabilities from her experiences growing up with friends affected by cerebral palsy, Down syndrome and epilepsy, and also her professional experience serving as project and grant managers for an international, disability non-profit. Fusing her desire to support people affected by disabilities with her knowledge as a software engineer in web and mobile development, Holly has been advocating for accessible design in software both in her professional projects and in the Austin tech community.
Holly, currently, works at Praxent, a web design firm in Austin, where she leads a team in building robust web and mobile applications and breaking JavaScript. When not coding, Holly enjoys bouldering, training her miniature Australian Shepherd, and hunting for food trucks with her husband. She also loves mentoring code newbies at Women Who Code Austin, where she serves as the Executive Director for a network of 2300+ women in tech. Follow her on Twitter: @hollyglot.
