Arwed Niestroj

Arwed Niestroj is CEO of Mercedes-Benz Research and Development North America. Until 2014 he was managing director of EM-motive GmbH, a Joint Company of Daimler and Bosch, founded end of 2011. Before he was responsible for Fuel Cell Powertrain Development at Daimler AG. From 2008 he was head of Fuel Cell Vehicle Testing and Fleet Operations at Daimler AG and the world’s first circumnavigation with fuel cell vehicles. In 2007 and 2008 he was Program Manager at Daimler’s Hybrid Development Center in Troy, Michigan, USA. Before Arwed Niestroj was executive assistant of the DaimlerChrysler board member after some years in commercial vehicle development and production planning. Arwed Niestroj holds a master degree in physics from the Technical University of Munich, Germany.
