Yasmin Diallo Turk
Yasmin Diallo Turk works at the intersection of domestic violence and child abuse for an Austin nonprofit. She also serves
as Project Director for HOPE for Senegal (a project of the H.O.P.E. Campaign), and teaches as an adjunct instructor in the Huston-Tillotson University’s Adult Degree Program. In addition to her volunteer roles in
Austin’s Muslim community, Ms. Diallo Turk is a member of the Citizen Review Team for the Department of Family and Protective Services, the KLRU Community Advisory Board, Sisterhood of Salam Shalom,
the Leadership Austin 2017 Essential Class, and UTES Education Council.
Ms. Diallo Turk holds a BA in Sociology, a Master’s of Global Policy Studies, and plans to finish her PhD in Environmental Geography in 2017. She is married with three children- a toddler, a teenager, and one
in-between.
