Claire Southwick
Beginning her career at an indie label called Blue Dog, Claire went on to work in PR, publishing and management before producer management at Sanctuary Music, Worked with upcoming producers such as Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys) and Markus Dravs (Arcade Fire & Coldplay) Then partnered up with Transgressive Records, setting up and becoming director of Transgressive Producers.
Claire launched Primitive Management, her artist and producer management company in 2014.
She manages artists Spring King and Hannah Lou Clark. Spring King - first band to be played on Apple’s Beats1, play-listed on Radio 1, 6 Music and Triple J in Australia. Debut album released on Island Records in June 2016 and nominated as ‘Best Breakthrough Act’ for the Q Awards. Producers managed - Paul Savage, David Pye, Tarek Musa and Steph Marziano. Artists her previous and current clients have worked with include Anna Calvi/Mogwai/Bat For Lashes/PJ Harvey/Wild Beasts/Fever Ray/Cocteau Twins/The Strokes/Everything Everything/Cold Specks/ Gossip
Claire was recently shortlisted for the ‘Breakthrough Manager Of The Year Award 2016’ for the MMF Artist And Manager Awards
