Ben Morris
A UK native (born in London, raised in Brighton), Ben moved to the US in 2006 where he first found himself in LA. A self proclaimed music nut and avid collector, it only seemed fitting for him to persue a career in music. After a few internships and a stint as personal assistant to Seal, he landed in the the EMI Music sync department. Here he spent four years pitching and marketing the master recordings of some of the greats such as the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Gorillaz, LCD Soundsystem, Coldplay and Daft Punk to name a few. In 2010 he moved to NYC where to start a new role at Domino Records. For Ben, the departure from a major label was a welcome change and the beginning of a 10 year long position as head of the North American sync licensing team. Here he worked along side some of the most talented independent artists and writers in the business, helping them build their synch identity while maintaining their artistic integrity. Ten years later, Ben has partnered with with previous co-worker and industry heavyweight, Joe Rangel to create Hauler Music, focusing on sync licensing, publishing and distribution.
